2016 Dawn to Dusk to Dawn Ultra

On May 14 and 15, 2016, a truly stellar, international field competed on the Academy Park track in Sharon Hill, PA, at a variety of distances and durations, including 50K, 50 Mile, 12 Hour and 24 Hour. Four members of the Delco road Runners Club set state records at the  event, which featured more than 70 runners, representing eight countries. Sue Irvan, 41, of Downingtown, Bonnie Muetterties, 62, of Media, Maryann Cassidy, 63, of Drexel Hill, and Collingdale’s Byron Mundy, 68, set state age-group records in the 50K run. In the 24 hour race, overall winner Pam Smith, 41, of Salem Oregon, broke American records at 100 miles and 200 kilometers. Bob Hearn, 50, of Portola Valley, California, was the men’s champion and broke the American record for 200 kilometers.
