Delco RRC Stages County XC Championships
Mike Walsh 2016 Delco XC Championships
Delco RRC directed the 2016 Delaware County high school cross country championship meet on Saturday October 8, at Rose Tree Park. More than 700 boys and girls from 22 county schools participated in the five races held on the hilly 3.1 mile course. Cardinal OHara won both the boys’ and girls’ varsity races with comfortable margins. They also produced the individual champions. Senior Ryan James won for the 2nd straight year in 15:44 while senior Olivia Arizin repeated as champion in 18:42.
Meet Directors Mike Gormley and Byron Mundy thank all the volunteers who turned out including Heinz Wick, Matt Morse, Steve Hamilton, Bill Weber, Terry Adamson, Jack Labar, Eric Mundy, John Greenstine, Dean Dennis, Bill Morgan, Diane Lista, Andy Keller, Bob Fyfe, Lon Sullivan, Bob White, Bill Coren, Pete Belfi, Bill Schultz, John Ashton, Mary Beth Mundy, and Bob Magalon.
Eleven men completed the open/alumni race held over the same 3.1 mile course.
